Pundit Boxscore for Friday 27 February 2004

KRUGMAN-KRAUTHAMMER CREATIVITY: One would think that when a legendary free trade advocate such as Paul Krugman writes a column on free trade, he would take aim at the two Democratic presidential candidates who are currently attacking NAFTA. Nope. One would think that when Charles Krauthammer, who believes that "the sanctity of the Constitution trumps everything, even marriage", writes about the proposed gay marriage amendment, he would take aim at the president who is currently supporting that amendment. Nope. Just two more examples of how creative columnists can manage to minimize criticism of their own party while writing about nearly any topic.

Lines in yellow indicate a substantive crossover column, meaning that the column is of opposite sign to the pundit's Normalized Total PI for the season, and contains at least five non-neutral partisan references.
Lines in gray indicate that the pundit has been classified as inactive, meaning that their columns are not currently being evaluated for partisanship.
Democratic references in blue, Republican in red, positive references in bold, negative in italics.
